  1. Already have a child, and the pregnancy had no complications.
  2. Demonstrate overall good health, with an acceptable body mass index (BMI).
  3. You must be mentally and physically healthy, with no history of drug use or smoking.
  4. You should not have a criminal record.
  5. The surrogate must be a U.S. citizen, a green card holder, or have another valid immigration status that allows them to stay in the country.
  6. The surrogate’s evaluation also involves a multi-phasic personality disorder test (MPPI).

  • The next step is to agree on the surrogacy compensation you will receive. Typical first time Surrogate Mother fees start at a base of $65,000.00. The amount and terms of your compensation are outlined in the legal contract agreed upon by you and the Intended parents.
  • Attention to your legal contract is an especially crucial step in your surrogacy journey.
